Room 13 by Robert Swidells
“I really enjoyed this book. It is about a group of school children who go on a residential to Whitby and the mysterious and scary things that happen in their guest house at midnight in Room 13. This book had just the right amount of tension and it built it up very well. The ending was satisfying and well done. The characters were believable and the interactions between the children themselves and the children and the teachers were spot on. I loved the descriptions of the places they went to in Whitby as this brought back a lot of fond memories of going there as a child and as a teacher. I would recommend this to readers 10+ who like horror and mystery books.”
