“This was one of my favourite Summer time books. It is story with a sense of mystery and magic. The description of swimming in the sea are sublime. A real fantastical journey into an unknown land full of mermaids and amazing sea animals. The opening really draws the reader in with the sense of loss as a parent goes missing. This can be a good opening to classroom discussions about loss. I loved every salty moment. A great book for any junior child to be captivated by the mysteries of the deep.”
