The Highland Falcon Thief by By M.G. Leonard and Sam Sedgman
“The Highland Falcon Thief is a fantastic read. It reminds me of Agatha Christie’s whodunnits with out the murder. There are plenty of twists, turns, clues and secrets as we follow the investigations of two young, gutsy and clever children who go in search of jewel thieves. There was just enough correct factual detail about A4 Pacific’s and the UK rail network to inform without becoming to heavy. Whether you are a train enthusiast or a dog lover, or someone who just enjoys a good mystery story then this book is for you! The artwork by Elisa Paganelli complimented the story beautifully. I’d recommend this book to children aged 9-11 and it will have a place on my ‘Recommended Reads’ section of my Y6 class library.”
