There May be a Castle by Piers Torday
“I have picked this book up and down from my to be read pile many times but hadn’t got very far due to my terrible habit of skimming ahead. This time I was enthralled. It is a beautifully written story which celebrates the power of imagination. Despite the underlying themes of grief and loss, it is humorous. I particularly liked the character Nonky the sassy toy who comes to life. I would recommend it to my year 5 pupils.”
